The castle can be visited daily from 10:00 to 18:00. Guided tours are organized upon request. Please call in advance at the phone number mentioned above. The entrance is free, however the owners accept donations for the benefit of the castle.

The castle was built between 1772 and 1803, in a simple Baroque style. The construction works were conducted by three generations of the Teleki family. The style of the building is unique, with the main façade showing a wider decoration. This section is most likely the most representative architectural element of the building. With a view to the north, on the ground floor, the access to the inner courtyard is made through corridor. A few years ago, the castle was functioning as a children's home. Today, it is owned by the Teleki family.

Gorneşti is located at a distance of 17 km from Târgu Mureş. By car, it can be accessed via the national road 15, leading to Reghin. From Târgu Mureş, the locality can be easily accessed even by maxi-taxi or train. The Baroque castle is located near the center of the locality, in the south-eastern part of the village.

The castle can host weddings, balls (up to 250 people), concerts (up to 120 people), conferences (up to 100 people), corporate meals. In the summer, the garden of the castle  houses camps, festivals, outdoor weddings and concerts. Gorneşti has even two guest houses, which can accommodate a total of 120 people.

Besides the castle, Gorneşti locality also contains the Reformed Church, built in 1456, in Gothic style. The region is rich in historical monuments, such as, the Teleki Castles of Glodeni and Dumbrăvioara, the Bálintitt Castle of Ernei, the Máriaffy Castle of Sângeorgiu de Mureş and the Zichy Mansion of Voivodeni, mentioning those nearby. In addition, the localities of Târgu Mureş and Reghin are only 17 km away.
