Currently, the castle is under renovation.

The history of the ensemble of buildings in Voivodeni, known under the name of Zichy Manor, is unknown, but its stylistic features suggest that we are dealing with a complex of edifices built in the 18th century or the first decades of the 19th century. Kata, the daughter of Kemény Sámuel (deceased in 1817), became Kun József's wife, and the niece Jozefina Vilma married Zichy István in 1880: thus, at the end of the 19th century, the manor became the property of the Zichy family. The main façade of the building has a rectangular planimetry and contains a single level, being extended on the narrower side with a smaller side. The building has an attic roof, built in Baroque style. The main façade is divided into seven axes, the main entrance opening at the central axis, in front of which there is a portico supported by eight carved stone columns. The Corinthian capitals of the columns are enhanced by the arched abacus plates ornate with rosettes.

Voivodeni is located at a distance of 24 km from Târgu Mureş and can be accessed by following the national road 15, then at Dumbrăvioara, the county road 153, after which the road 154, which leads to Voivodeni. Located at 13 km from Reghin, tourists can follow the national road 16 and then the county road 154J.

The locality of Reghin, located nearby, offers numerous accommodation possibilities.

The Teleki Castle in Glodeni is only 6 km away, and the Teleki Castles in Dumbrăvioara and Gorneşti are within a radius of 12 km. Worth visiting is also the historical center of Reghin, located at only 13 km away.
